It's when it's totally dead that it won't seem to charge or turn on. I only play mine like once a year because it's the worst Nintendo console for games imo. I liked my snes, n64, GameCube, wiiu, way better. The wii had a few good games but I hated the motion controls and touched it less than the switch.
